A KIDS TALE
(Working Title)

Have you ever gave thought,
To what itd be like,
If dogs could talk
And fish could ride bikes?

Horses could dance,
Cats could wear pants,
Frogs could laugh
And pigs could romance.

If you get stuck,
Youll be in luck,
Cause Ive got a Giraffe
With a ladder truck.

Oh my my
Dont blink your eyes,
There goes a Turkey
With a hot apple pie!

 And so our story begins,
In the town they all live,
But well bring our attention
To a Goat they call Kid.

Kid was small,
The smallest of his kin.
Sometimes hed get lost in the shuffle,
Cause nobody would see him.

His brothers were big,
His sister was too!
Hes even smaller,
Than me and you!

Its tough being little,
So much you cant do.
Like riding a coaster
Or tying a shoe.

This bothered Kid.
He wanted to be bigger.
So into town he went,
To see what he could figure.

As he walks into town,
Wearing his frown,
He is stopped by an Owl,
By the name, Feather Brown.

Why the sad face?
She said with a hoot.
You look like you ate,
A soggy old boot.

Well Mrs. Brown,
Im headed to town,
Because Im sick of being small,
So low to the ground.

Everyone is bigger,
They can do so much more,
You might be tiny,
But at least you can soar.

Well Kid, Its not easy growing up,
And youll have to start small,
Just be patient young pup,
Youll soon have it all.

With the Owls words in his head,
Into the town he led,
Running into the baker,
Sir, Fox E. McBread.

Well hello, Mr. McBread,
Was what the kid said.
What are you doing?
He lightly Tread.

Im baking away,
And I dont have all day,
Ive got a wedding of ducks,
And Id pay if youd stay!

But what can I do?
Im just a small goat
He stood there and said,
With a lump in his throat.

Well you see that red truck?
I need you to load,
The bagels, the rye,
The rolls and wheat loaves.

The young goat was nervous,
Could he handle this job?
To scared to speak,
He said yes with a nod.

So he started with the loaves,
Lining them close,
Then came the rolls,
Which filled in the holes.

Then a scream from the right,
Gave him a fright,
But why the commotion?
Was he doing it right?

Kid jumped from the truck,
To see what was amuck,
It was Fox at the door,
He got his tail stuck.

Oh No! What can I do!
The Wedding! My Bread!
Its all ruined, Kapoo!

Just open the door,
Whinnied the young boy.
Its locked! And the keys,
Are inside the store.

Kid stepped back,
To think and observe,
He spots a small hole,
Then works up the nerve.

Fox watched as he wriggled,
And quickly disappeared.
Soon he heard a click,
And a giggle from the rear.

Fox did a jig,
Even kissed Mrs. Pig
Then ran for his truck,
Off to the wedding Ducks.

Kid went on home,
After a long days roam,
Just to find Sir Fox and his parents,
In one of their talks.

He wondered, Why is he here?
Were his efforts too mere?
Just then he was spotted.
Sir Fox then applauded!

Kid my dear friend,
What a big hand for you to lend.
You saved the day,
In such a big way

Being small can be tough,
And growing is rough,
But sometimes its enough,
When caught in a gruff.

And I ran off so quick,
My head is so thick
I forgot to say thank you,
And give you your pick.

Sir, Fox E. McBread,
Opened his door,
And in the seat inside,
Sat a uniform drawer.

He Said, Take your pick!
Whichever you want
I want to give you a job,
At my Breadsturant!

Kid couldnt help,
But wonder why,
He would ever want,
To give him a try.

Sir Fox then explained,
That being small,
Is really not,
The worst thing of all.

Sometimes in life,
It is good to be little,
And when you grow up,
Youll be right in the middle.

Because of your size,
You stopped my cries,
I got the bread to the wedding,
Before the summize.

Thats why Im here.
To boast at your pride.
Even though you are small,
You are one big great guy.

The little goat gave this thought,
And looked up with a grin,
I will take the job,
That way we all win.

From that moment on,
Kid never thought,
Of being big or of being small,
A new day has dawn!

So if you ever feel,
Like youre too big or too small,
Remember you fit,
Just like us all!
