Dear Editor
Please consider my manuscript, MEETHI ON THE GO, about a 6 year old girl, literally on the go, loveable, unwittingly naughty. She commits many a faux pas: asking an important guest if she was a witch, snipping off her best friend’s curls. There is never a dull moment with Meethi around. She is loved and loving.
I am sure the readers will love her too.
The work would appeal to the 6-9 age group.
As the story has 4742 words only and is 11 pages long I am in taking the liberty of sending the complete manuscript as a word document attachment.
I will be making simultaneous submissions as you have not specified otherwise.

I am a free lance writer and a retired teacher of English.
My latest story, KITU THE DETECTIVE, for children is published in DIMDIMA, July 2019. The magazine has published 2 other stories written by me. Another story has been accepted.
I also contributed stories about Rinku to CHANDAMAMA, under the TALL TALES section.
PENGUIN (India) published my novel THE SOLITUDE OF SURABHI in 1997.
About 7 of my short stories have been broadcast over the BBC WORLD SERVICE. THE TRANSISTOR was given a RUNNER-UP AWARD in 1995 in a Short Story competition organized by the BBC World Service.
REBIRTH AND OTHER STORIES, published by WRITERS WORKSHOP in 1990, was judged the best in the fiction section for the year. My articles and short stories have appeared in various Indian magazines and newspapers.
My short articles have appeared in LITTLE INDIA a New York magazine. They can be read online (www.littleindia.com)
I used to write a blog OBSERVATIONS AND MUSINGS.
I hope to hear from you.
