Greetings from the Gurushala team at Pratham Education Foundation! Hope you and your team are safe and healthy during this difficult time.

Gurushala is a free of cost online teacher training and professional development initiative which since 2012 has been working to positively impact the learning levels of students by building the capacity of teachers to use technology and innovative pedagogies in class. Presently, we are working with partner institutions across India to motivate and support the efforts of teachers from 4000+ schools in 16 states and Union Territories. Since its online website launch in September 2019, more than 24,000+ users have registered on Gurushala and more continue to do so every week.

With the majority of our audience being in rural and often under-resourced areas, the training of teachers is often less prioritized one of the reasons being lack of the required training material. Thus, Gurushala through the online content and self-paced courses aims to fill an important gap combining both the content knowledge and pedagogical requirement of the teacher. The courses are designed for teachers to be able to relate and use the course content in their daily classroom practices.

Gurushula team is inspired by the work done by the Eklavya Foundation in training teachers with the help of their programs Science a way of life and Child Development and Special Needs learning by conducting capacity building training and sharing knowledge related to the innovative use of various Teaching and Learning material in classrooms. We believe this knowledge is very important and helpful for school teachers across India to have the necessary skills to manage the day to day classroom challenges as well as facilitate the cognitive and socio-emotional development in children so that they can bring out future leaders among our children. For this purpose, we will be very happy to collaborate with you and showcase any digital resources created by your organization on the Gurushala portal. 

While hosting any resources on Gurushala, we ensure that all copyright rules and terms of use as given by the owner of the resource are strictly followed. The resources on Gurushala can be used only for non-commercial purposes.
