I am Judy Kathleen Thompson, Children's Picture Poetry Book author.

My work is not just another tall tale about a cute dancing bug, rather, Doug Doug the Dancing Bug entertainingly illustrates by fine example the very best of those revered ideals that parents so wish their children to live by: Fidelity, Love, Perseverance, Belief in one's self whilst placing doubt forever upon the doubtful shelf.

The story of Doug is comprised of wonderful words to live by. 

For over three decades I have written with passion, determination and conviction so that I may be able to benevolently bequeath my Life's Cause of hope, promise and wellness, Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, with fortune and favor so that they might, with God’s help, discover cures to save young lives that be in beauteous bloom.

If you read the first 12 pages of Doug, you'll be under Doug's splendidly silly spell and you will find yourself caught up magically in Doug's joyful journey, with page 94 ending as lovely, heartfelt emotions escort sincere smiles to a pleasant place merrily reserved for children of all ages.
