Transforming Learning outcomes in primary schools of Mission Antyodaya Blocks

Work is focused on holistic development through enriching partnership/collaboration/liaising at block level. Project emphasizes on working in Mission Antyodaya blocks of Madhya Pradesh through a sustainable approach of maximizing community participation (directly with MPSRLM community members) in improving and promoting education system at village level.

  1. Position: Block Coordinators (2), one for each locations as mentioned below:
    • Location: Manawar, Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh (1)
    • Location: Rajpur, Badwani district of Madhya Pradesh (1)

Job Descriptions:

  • Prepare training plan for different stakeholders of Education such as (activist leaders selected by TRI, SMC members, panchayat representatives and members of permanent committees and selected young leaders), implementing field plan and execution of field plan. Time to time monitoring the field implementation and execution.
  • Build strong liaisoning with all the partners & stake-holders in this initiative, NRLM, TRIF, PRI bodies and representatives, community members, school teachers and children. Extensive interfaces with the officials of the education department at the district and block level.
  • Participation and cooperation in academic meetings of teachers at the cluster level.
  • Guide and assist the regional coordinator in all her/his activities and shoulder some of these responsibilities with her/him, as planned or required.
  • Planning, guiding, cooperating, monitoring and solving problems of the team of ‘Preraks’ located in the block.
  • Oversee all documentation, reporting and administrative work and ensure timely reports for internal as well as partner sharing. Ensure timely account keeping and submission of accounts to the Bhopal coordination office. Assist in auditing processes as required.
  • Provide on-site and off-site support to the project and other Eklavya initiatives, as and when required.
  • Along with the task as mentioned above, following will be the key responsibility areas:
    1. Ensuring regular attendance of students, work with schools, teachers and community members and maintain educational quality.
    2. School visit once a week for conducting a demo for activity-based learning.
    3. Participating in cluster level meetings of village organizations, propagate education related information and provide training.
    4. Conducting educational activities like Shiksha Protsahan Kendra in inside and outside the school premises.
    5. Conducting village meetings with communities, building communication with leader-activists, creating forums form adolescent girls, boys, and youth and encourage them to become an active member of the initiative taken.

Qualification and other desirables:

  • Graduates preferably MA in Development Studies with some knowledge and exposure of education sector. Enthusiastic and ready to learn; work for systemic change in public education system for ensuring delivery of quality education.
  • Zeal to take on challenges; willingness to stay at small town or block.
  • Proficiency in English & Hindi (reading, writing & speaking)
  • Ability to work with a team and lead.
  • Capable to ride two-wheeler.
  • Computer literate – word processing, excel sheet, data handling.
  • Flexible in working time and tasks.

Gross Salary: Rs. 20,000 – 24,000 per month
(CTO includes health-accident insurance and other social securities)
