Eklavya is a non-government registered society that was set up in 1982 to actively seed and develop academic programmes for curricular change in elementary education at the micro level, and mainstream them through government and non-government agencies.

Under the Publications Programme, in addition to development and publication of books for students, teachers and parents in various genres, Eklavya publishes three magazines - a monthly for children called Chakmak; Sandarbh for teachers and high school students; and Srote, a science and technology feature service.

We are looking for an experienced and versatile digital marketing manager with good knowledge of social media marketing and search engine optimization. Our ideal candidate is someone with 3-4 years of experience in developing and executing digital marketing campaigns while coordinating with different teams. He/she will be comfortable with day-to-day marketing activities, as well as long-term strategy, thriving with deadlines and changing needs.


  • Build, plan and implement digital marketing strategies, content ideation and implementation schedules, focusing on SEO and social media optimization.
  • Plan and manage social media presence (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), as per the marketing communication requirements and organization policies
  • Create new and innovative ways to engage social audiences. Promote pages, events, links on other social media groups, channels, users and other blogs.
  • Come up with weekly, monthly, and quarterly calendars for social media platforms. Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content regularly (e.g. original text, photos, videos and updates) and manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels.
  • Monitor trends on SEO best practices & techniques to ensure top website ranking, identifying new opportunities or challenges.
  • Work closely with external agencies and Execute successful SEO jobs/tasks for assigned properties to maximize search engine visibility, traffic, and conversions.
  • Create engaging written or graphic content in the form of social media messages, off-page promotional posts and on-page optimization.
  • Reach-out and create collaborative content with different publication teams to establish consistency of content across platforms.
  • Understand and support initiatives that will contribute to the goals and success of digital marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor, track, analyze and report on performance on social media platforms, and coordinate with advertising and media experts to improve marketing results.
  • Work with your team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies, Evaluate important metrics that affect our website traffic, service quotas, and target audience.

Skill Set required:

  • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics.
  • Strong understanding of managing marketing channels/activities like: Social Media Optimization, Search Engine Optimization (On/Off page), emails, online PR etc. to ensure brand communication consistency
  • Hands on experience in managing D2C social media presence (on platforms like - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn & others)
  • Up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing.
  • Hands on experience in content management, own content marketing and ensure content quality based on social media, SEO / SEM metrics, site and search analytics data.
  • Microsoft Office suite Proficiency - Experience working on Presentations, data dashboards.
  • Experience with tools: Google Analytics, Google Webmasters, Ahrefs, Moz etc.
  • Familiarity with web design and basic web design skills - HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Adobe Dreamweaver & knowledge of CMS systems (Joomla, WordPress, OpenCart etc.)
  • Coordinate & Work with partners and agencies to review the campaign performance (KPIs) and course correct as required
  • Good verbal and written English and Hindi communication skills
  • Ability to multitask projects and willing to learn and take up new responsibilities like new platforms or ecommerce.

Good To Have Skills

  • Google Ads certification, understanding of search engine marketing (SEM) and Google paid ads
  • Facebook Blueprint certification with experience in running paid campaigns in Facebook ads manager
  • Adobe Creative Cloud/Creative Suite like Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Design of email communications, Newsletters
  • Workflow management / project management experience - Hands on experience on planning / design delivery/ project management of larger design campaigns.

Educational requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Location: Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh (Or willing to travel to Bhopal for 15-20 days in a month)

Gross Salary: Rs. 35,000 - 40,000 per month
