In a couple of centres the children started translating the kavita posters which were put up on the walls of the centres in Gondi or Korku. In one of the centres, the children have also translated a book, ‘Haathi ki hichki’ in Korku. This effort on the part of the children is huge especially because most children when asked what language they speak at home say Hindi. While talking to adults the team found out that children very regularly say that they speak Hindi at home because they have been constantly teased and looked down upon because they speak Gondi or Korku at home.
